Holiday Wish List
It’s my holiday wish list and birthday wish list. Now I know that there is only one secret santa, but for those of you who aren’t my secret santa, here’s some suggestions. If I see any of these suggestions in your possession, you’re a big poser and you should get your own style.

Put on a pretty stank Fragrance is the easiest to find. Get your ass to the department store and get me: |

The Franklin Bench Chair Reminiscent of the Eames aesthetic, this chair is covered in black vinyl and trimmed with white piping. I’ll need two because there is a connecting rod that can turn the pair into a love seat. If you’re feeling a little more flush, you can buy just one Mies van der Rohe Barcelona Chair. [ Link ] |

The Limited Edition Turquoise Verner Panton Chair Ok, so I don’t need any more furniture, but this is more than just a piece of furniture. This is one of Panton/Vitra’s first chairs which is still a mainstay of many designistas. This is marked as limited edition, but is selling for the same price as the other colors. |

X-Arcade Game Adapter I need this. I can’t write anything clever about this. I need this… because I need to play games and become more cloistered in my dark game hole. Oh, and I’ll need the USB adaptor. [ Link ] |

Earlier this year, a writer on Slate.com reviewed the most efficient ways of getting hot water. I’ve had a cafeteriere (french press) for a while, and have been muddling with boiling water on the stove. Since the price of electricity isn’t going up as rapidly as natural gas, ideally I’d go for the electric kettle. No no no, sacrificing style for efficiency I’m going for the next to the worst performer in the list. The Chemex Handblown thermal glass carafe was designed in the mid-1940s. Sure it has no whistle, fragile, and gets too hot to hande… but it’s so beautiful. |

Cyber-Monday
Sounds like a way bored teens on AOL like to diddle and titillate each other in chat rooms on Monday mornings. Shopping analysts say that it’s a phenomenon after the Thanksgiving/Black Friday consumer whoredom, caused by people getting to work on their company’s high speed internet connection to go out and shop for deals online. Those of us who are smart or were burned by delayed shipping, started their online shopping days ago.
