I’ve been away for more than a month, and still the CBC has not returned to normal. The folks at the CBC have been bargaining with the staff for many months which culminated in a ‘labor disruption’. I didn’t know that I’d be affected by this, but as one can see, I haven’t been posting anything. There’s a certain perspective and innocence gained when listening to the stories and experiences expressed on CBC Radio. That cultural Xanax to be savored during my commute home was taken for granted. Who knew that there would be trouble… in Canada. For now I’m forced to listen to some of the harsh, divisive, or cerebral public radio here in the states.
