I’m taking time to have a cup of tea. I can actually smell the smokiness of the korean green tea. The sweetener in the tea still tastes a bit strange.
So sick…
I felt a bit of irritation in my sinuses and the back of my throat on Sunday morning. I knew that I was going to get sick. Monday rolled around and I was well enough to get ready and drive myself to work. Suffering at my desk, coughing, dripping, hacking, I ripped through my stash of napkins and paper towel.
I left work and made my way to the grocery store to buy a corn chips, gallon of orange juice, Tyelnol TheraFLU, and for the first time Cold-Eeze. I took in lots of fluids and two-thirds of the seemingly endless bag of corn chips. Unfortunately my coughs were so violent that they triggered a gag reflex.
Alternating between the Cold-Eeze lozenges and orange juice (they can’t be mixed) I took a long nap which allowed for the phlegm to collect and rise when I awoke. Still dizzy, I didn’t want to eat anything solid for fear of having to run to the bathroom.
Today, I’m still a bit dizzy. I’ve had some solid food along with an Ensure. Still touch and go

More to come
It may be great to be the king, however
it’s not so great being the team lead. I’m the team leader this week for the small strategy team I participate in. I didn’t think that so much red tape and political stuff happens as I help troubleshoot developer’s issues. The summer is a quiet time for new projects, but the few that we have going are massive.
I don’t have time to enjoy my high-speed wireless internet.
