it’s not so great being the team lead. I’m the team leader this week for the small strategy team I participate in. I didn’t think that so much red tape and political stuff happens as I help troubleshoot developer’s issues. The summer is a quiet time for new projects, but the few that we have going are massive.

I don’t have time to enjoy my high-speed wireless internet.

I have been connected on the Cingular(Blue) EDGE network, and I’m quite satisfied with the speed. Streaming audio comes in just fine and the burst speeds go as high as 227k. Average speeds for web surfing are around 100k.

Yay, New York was eliminated as a candidate for the 2012 games. I’m sure the folks at Viacom are reeling at the decision. I would like to have seen Moscow make it into further conisderation, but they were eliminated in the first round.

The official announcement should commence in 5 minutes, and the last two cities London and Paris are awaiting decision.

I picked up some green tea pocky today. Green tea is the next step up from the innocent, vaguely sexual, lolita, strawberry flavor. It’s tasty but not ‘oh my sweet Jesus’ tasty. There’s a bitterness and a floral flavor of green tea and ice cream. Unfortunately, there’s a rather unpleasant oakiness or fruitiness similar to that found in raisins or dried apricots.

Give me the strawberry, gummi-eraser, Hello-Kitty scented, pocky anyday.
