When I found out that GSM was coming to the States through AT&T
Wireless, I became a charter member. Though coverage was spotty, I
stood by my choice and suffered through a lot of handsets and traveled
the world with my trusty SIM.

With this SIM I received free SMS wherever I roamed, despite the hefty
costs of outgoing calls and SMS. This little guy served me well over
the years, but now has since gone quiet. The iPhone came with its own
SIM toting more space for messages, adresses, listing of global
carriers, and provisioning for UMTS services. I love my new phone and
I realize it is important to move on, but I have to honor my trusty
AT&T SIM…
