I have the day off today, Good Friday, and I’m taking the time to pamper myself. This isn’t an ordinary day off, this is one where Snuff has to work and I’ve got the whole house to myself. Unlike on the weekends where I have to endure menial tasks, I’m taking my time today to make breakfast the way I like it without having to consider anyone else’s predilections of a complete meal or an appropriate place to have it.
I didn’t think eating in the living room was so liberating. Heat cranked way up, me donning just a bathrobe, and a coffee flavored sugar slurry in my coffee cup. Thank you Jesus for giving me the day off and letting me drop crumbs carelessly into my bare crotch, oh and that whole dying for the sins of the world thing too.
The primate brain reacts by releasing endorphins whenever it encounters anything novel. Since 1998, those clever Europeans get together and strut their stuff for the yearly Europrix. Every year I become inspired, jealous, and admittedly confused at times with the entries.
I’d like to share the best bits.

Office Of Tomorrow: wickedly cool tools to help creative people collaborate and design
I was going through my benefits summary today and I read something curious. Despite the depressed economic situation with my company, I noticed that insurance has become more expensive but my take home has gone up. I got a raise! Earlier this year I didn’t bother to submit any paperwork for a re-evalutation of my pay scale since it hasn’t changed in the three years prior to my gigantic promotion. So thank you corporate America, you’ve encouraged me to be a better worker by 1.13% ! (Actual rate of productivity increase does not reflect the increase in wages)
